Social Networks

Front Page Hosting $6.95
Still remember when the times when all we could do and think of doing after work or school was to login to our Friendster account? Some uses MySpace, Multiply etc. But the trending popularity of Facebook and Twitter overwhelmed the first. I used to remember uploading so many photos to share on my Friendster account. Those times when the website was still simple and user friendly.

Let me ask this. How many email accounts do you usually keep and why is it important? I am asking this because I could not define my own reasons too. Partly because I am just getting excited everytime I switched my computer on and see old familiar facing that is crowding my friend's list. And everytime I see them, it makes me regress the fun and exciting moments, can't help myself from smiling. Or seeing the newly acquainted person that you were seating next to you when you are catching a flight to attend seminars or attend a business presentation, or maybe meeting a client, about going on a trip.

These Social Networking sites are really helpful too. Here, I found my long lost friend whom I have not seen for so many years. My cousin whom I only got the chance to see during a funeral. Many relatives with the same last names are corresponding through the message boards that these social networking sites are providing. There is even chat! What a nice place to be. One need not to travel to be with that person. Oh technology, have given us so much comfort. It is a place to organize an event too! Place to see your ex's married to someone or being with some. Ha ha! But it's nice, specially if you see them doing really well with their chosen path. Social networking site is a good place to find your the ONE. Yes, it can be. Try it, can be fun but be careful though as the technology is getting really good so as the vultures out there too.

One thing I like about facebook is the applications like the games, events, board messages and many beautiful things that cannot be possibly beaten by friendster (i've visited my friendster last night and it's now green, I missed the simple blue smiley) I have not even visited my Multiply and MySpace account. I know multiply was a little better than Friendster but the interface of the website is not as user friendly as Friendster back then. BUT Facebook is way better, thanks to Mark Zuckerberg, a brilliant guy who created this website along with his friend. A very good money making hobby that turned really well. This should inspire the young and growing minds to do create something. Making a website and make money out of it can be challenging for some, as there are lots of scams online too. There should be a law for this that can be agreed upon by the rest of the countries in the world. Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

Anyway, I do have a twitter and to be honest I still have no idea what to twit. I put everything and whatever that comes to my mind in twitter. I frequently visit Facebook. The thing is I have list of friends from all over the place I can't hardly remember who invited who. Most are friend's I've known, some are relatives that I have not meet and familiar faces I've bumped into, other's are just friends from the space I don't even know and just added me or I added them because I find their likes are my likes too in a group that I joined with, could it be music, films, or any group that I belong to.

I wander if people these days would still have the photos taken get to be printed out. As we all know there are lots of online albums which we get to share the photos taken. I've only used flickr but it is limited. I was using something else before but that site has long gone. I do sometimes print them out, but most of the time it's here in my computer just sitting to be uploaded. It takes time to upload photos online, well that depends on the uptime or how fast the connection to get through the internet traffic. Truely these Internet phenomenon is so good that I can't wait for the next 3D communication of which you can actually see the person you will be talking into even though you are miles apart. Just like in film G.I. Joes, I like that film. I wander what will be the next level of social networking 5 years from now? It will be interesting for sure.

What do you prefer use the most? Which one you consider the best social networking and how often do you keep the site on?

I'm curious to know your opinions and point of views about social networking.
